Who We Are
Serving Seven, Inc. is a Chicago-based nonprofit working at the intersection of sex trafficking, substance use, trauma, and violence. Rooted in cultural compassion, radical care, and harm reduction, we meet people where they are and co-create pathways toward safety, healing, and wholeness.
How it's Done:
From our signature Glam Bags that build trust on the streets to comprehensive clinical support, case management, harm reduction, and prevention services, we meet people where they are and walk alongside them toward healing and wholeness.
Our work is organized around three core areas:
1. Grassroots Street Outreach & Engagement
We build connection and trust by meeting people where they are. Through our signature Glam Bags, harm reduction resources, and other essentials, we provide participants with items they want and need while creating meaningful opportunities for relationship, support, and connection to care.
2. Clinical Support & Case Management
We provide culturally compassionate, trauma-informed support to help individuals navigate trauma, substance use, exploitation, and other barriers to safety and well-being. We connect participants to clinical care, resources, advocacy, and services that support healing, stability, and restoration.
3. Prevention & Education
We equip young people, families, schools, churches, and communities with practical education around sex trafficking, substance use, harm reduction, trauma, and violence. Our programs help people recognize warning signs, reduce risk, strengthen protective factors, and know how to respond when someone needs help.
Our Commitment to Cultural Compassion
We recognize that healing and prevention are not one-size-fits-all. Culture, community, lived experience, identity, relationships, and environment shape how people experience harm and what meaningful support looks like.
